The secret to stable, predictable and cost-saving packaging
It feels good to introduce our partners to our foiling processes, because in each case it becomes clear how much the company can save on its costs and how much less plastic foil they have to use in their daily work. When it was proven at the company producing feed and dog food that 72% savings could be achieved with our method and machine, the company manager did not hesitate and immediately ordered two machines.
By purchasing a new, modern machine, you can package stably, uniformly, predictably, plannably and with continuous pallet safety. Now we will show you how true this is through three case studies.

Example #1:
One of our partners, a wholesale warehouse, wanted to eliminate the waste of manual foiling. The measurement results showed that 358 g of foil was used per pallet during manual foiling, which could be reduced to 140 g with a mobile robot. The savings per pallet are 62%, which means 500 kg of foil per month and 6,000 kg of foil per year!
Another reason why the company decided to use the robot is that, unlike manual packaging, the machine always works uniformly, stably, with the same tension force and a uniform amount of foil, while with the manual process, the amount of foil and the packaging quality cannot be constantly uniform.
We equipped our machines with a pre-stretching foil carriage, the advantage of which is that the foil is stretched by the machine during packaging, so less foil is placed on a pallet. This does not affect stability at all, but the specific cost per pallet for packaging will be lower.
Example #2:
Another of our partners, a logistics service provider, had a problem that their old machine could not stretch the foil, so the specific packaging cost per pallet was very high. This was solved by purchasing a new machine with a pre-stretch film carriage, which significantly reduced their costs.
The company uses 820 kg less film per month than before. The 74% reduction was achieved solely by replacing their old turntable machine with a new pre-stretch machine.
Example #3:
An agricultural manufacturing company achieved 63% savings by investing in a new machine: they use 1194 kg less film per month. The old, standard machine was replaced by a mobile packaging robot with a pre-stretch film carriage.
Another important aspect was that the robot could be moved around the site and could be packaged easily and quickly, at any point on their site. This allows them to unpack the pallet faster and deliver it ready for shipping immediately. The problem was caused by the cheap, 17 micron film, which was not used properly because it was not threaded into the pre-stretching unit. Since the machine works with 180% pre-stretching, this type of film tore, so they preferred not to use pre-stretching.
Before our test, they needed 500 grams of film per pallet for packaging, which, considering 30 pallets per day, meant 15 kg of film, meaning they used 450 kg of packaging material per month.
